My 16 year old medium size dog Chopper has arthritis in his legs and spine, his back was becoming rounded and his back legs would shake when standing. His kidney function had become low, and he was restless at night. His left eye developed a growth on the edge of the eyelid two years ago, irritating his eye causing a thick mucous build up which needed daily cleaning. In the summertime he has always suffered with grass pollen allergies, needing to take steroids to prevent him from chewing his paws, often until they bled.
I have been giving Chopper half a teaspoon of purple rice in water since June 2016 and his response has been amazing. His legs no longer shake and his spine is now straight. He’s back to walking daily about 15 – 20 minutes and is sleeping through the night again. Although his joints are still arthritic, he no longer appears to be in any discomfort.
The growth on his eyelid disappeared after 3 months on PXP, his eye is mucous free and this is the first summer he has not needed any medication for grass allergies. Chopper is back to being alert and happy, his coat looks great and I have had many comments while out walking with him from people amazed at his energy and how good he looks for a very senior dog.
